A Note on Speech/Fluency Disorders

If you take a few minutes to listen to these, very short, sermons I’m sure you’ll notice my speech is a bit odd. I do talk very fast, and stuttered when I was younger. The stutter went away with time, but I still retain a fluency disorder (a speech impediment) today. I thought I had a stammering problem, but my issue was recently diagnosed by a speech pathologist as “cluttering”, at 35 years old. I’m now seeking speech therapy so I can overcome this impediment and become a better communicator. I guess the point of this is to let you know that perfection is absolutely not required to be in ministry! If you want to do something, go do it! Don’t wait until you are perfect, because it will never happen.
